American words you HAVE adopted

As a side to the 'silly' American words, what words/pronunciations have you adopted since moving out here?

I try to keep as English as possible, but some things you just have to change to be understood.

I work for a travel company so have to say Caribb-e-an. I like a scooone instead of a scon at Starbucks, and I order a Chicken and Bazil dish at the Chinese.

I also like saying Jagwar and Poo-ma on a trip to the zoo.

I use "sure" a lot as a less positive version of "okay". I use American words when conversing with Americans, it's rude to go to another country without making an effort with their language. Every now and then I get caught off guard without realising it.

To those that know me, and those that know the sport, I say 'football'.
To those that do not know me and are casual followers of the sport, I say 'soccer'.
When in doubt, I say 'soccer', but it is not my word of choice.

This is seriously embarrassing, but I have to admit to the word "cute" coming out of my mouth --as in, when contemplating Daniel Day-Lewis in Last of the Mohicans, "he's cute!" When I arrived I thought that was just a ghastly use of cute, which should be confined to puppies and newborns, but it somehow crept its way into my vocabulary! :o

Awesome, gas, dink - might have to be a main-ah to get that one though.

Not a word, but describing travel distance in time taken rather than miles.

More than I would like to admit :o

Gotten, In-Surance, Elevator, hallway, sidewalk, 'i'm good', awesome, I've lost all use of the letter 'T' in the middle of words... I find my self saying 'wader, bedder, buddar etc etc' and not to mention Y'all.... that creeps in so much even my husband and kids laugh at me and call me a hick :)

Maybe I need a trip home......
