Re: American who wants to meet British men
I'm sorry that you feel offended, however did you really expect that a thread like this on this forum basically to try and get a date to have a flood of guys responding wanting to met you? As has been said before this isn't a dating site, and British people do tend to be rather sarcastic and mocking at times. Another thing I have noticed here is that most of the men are here are here on marriage based visas or already have a family, so this would be a great place too meet a guy anyway. I'm glad yo like British people, but maybe instead of getting upset at the people here come here and learn about our culture and so forth, you may not get anyone romantically interested here but platonic friendship is never a bad thing in my view. And as for not liking Americans, if that was truly the case it seems to me that the majority of the people here would have moved back home quite sharpish. I pray you find what you are looking for but don't be upset if yo don't find it here.

I'm not from Yorkshire, but Yorkshire Tea all the way for me. I discovered it as a student; it has been my regular brew ever since.
I know that Wegmans stock it, but apparently at quite a markup. I'll take the hit though

It doesn't matter where you're from, Yorkshire Tea is the best. They sell it at Hannafords round here so it's not hard to find. In fact it was one of my gifts from my Secret Santa

Punjana, however, has not evidently made it to Houston yet. Well, whatever, it is not expensive to order from the company website.

Every huge high-end grocery, and every tiny ethnic grocery, stock it here. It's apparently part of the standard mix that the local ethnic-market distributor offer to their clients, especially the Desi crowd.

The other place we go two or three times a year is Boston & Cape Cod, as we have family there. Over there I notice there is Irish stuff, more than British stuff. For instance Stop and Shop in Dennis, MA has several varieties of Barry's and Bewley Tea, but no Yorkshire. Fine with me, Barry's and Bewley are both good. Bacon, butter and cheese is Irish too, rather than British. I suspect the supermarkets feel that the so called "Irish" people in Massachusetts feel more kindly towards Irish brands, even though they are essentially the same thing as British. Same with pubs, Iris seems safer to Americans than English .... in places like MA, anyway.
