American Airlines 54/55 Chicago to Manchester
Hi All,
September 4th saw the end of the long-running AA 54/55 Service which ran between Chicago & Manchester, UK, after almost 30 years of operation. AA Flight Crews, some of whom are ExPats like ourselves, and other Staff, have launched an effort to try and get the service re-instated. They have already been successful in getting AA's Chicago to Dublin Service back.
They are trying to gauge how many of us will be affected by the loss, and where we start our journeys in the States, and where we end up in the UK. I have used this service for 24 years, as have members of my family and friends. Complaints can also be made by the "Customer Feedback" link on AA's Website, too.
My route back to the UK consists of;
Dubuque, IA - Chicago to Manchester - and then finishes at Liverpool.
Hopefully, we can get it back and get it on a daily, year round service, like it used to be.
Thanks for your input.
Jim.

I must have done Manchester to Chicago 20 times visiting family in Omaha, NE. Very shocked it has ended. It was always full.
