So guns do make it easier to kill people, after all. Shouldn't be difficult to understand that, yet the lack of comprehension of such a basic point is the sort of cognitive dissonance that we get from the gun fans.

Lots of things make it easier to kill people. McBurgers is probably higher up the list
Say 10,000 people die a day in the US, guns contribute, but so do many others.

If you can do that, I'm all in favour of it.

There's not enough political will to have meaningful gun bans in the US.
We will probably never have the type of gun laws that are in place in the UK, for example. But that doesn't mean that we should ignore the high price that the US pays for its position. The US is a more dangerous place thanks to its easy access to guns.

He couldn't "handle" it .... That's total nonsense. Reading his self written life story, he was clearly deluded by his own high expectations in practically everything, and couldn't handle it. He even explained one incident where he went ballistic because he didn't win the lottery. He clearly had mental problems.

The situation is not unusual, just that extremity he took it to.

There was a fantastic documentary on Channel 4 on this (here in the UK obviously). It's called "The Virgin Killer" and is probably available on 4OD or Youtube. I think he was very deluded and very messed up, worth a look though.
