Who else has Monday off for Presidents Day??

We are enjoying the good weather in our part of Texas so it's nice to be off for an extra day.

Sorry to gloat but being a teacher I have all week off, heehee! Also had two snow days last week. Probably go skiing.

My days off are Sunday and Monday so just a normal set of days off for me. I was thinking about this the other day, I should get this days off in lieu but I don't!!!! Still it does mean a day for just me and the wife to spend together whilst the little one is at day care which is a massive bonus!!

She's a teacher and her class starts at 7.30 am every morning.

I find public holidays, and other days off a bit of a downer. Normally, Monday to Friday, workers and children are safely off the streets for the day so I can enjoy my leisure activities in peace and tranquilly.

I'm exhausted already by my 10 year old son demands to be entertained. He's not one to curl up with a good book. It's not as relaxing as you might think being home with kids over the holidays.

Other then banks, schools and government workers, people get these random holidays off....lol....

I'm the opposite. I look forward to holidays because suddenly there are actual children on the streets of my town, say in the hardware store and the coffee shops, or playing in the snow.

I wish I could keep track of these three-day weekends, though. Monday is my free day to go to the library, and it seems it's always closed for one of these holidays.
