In real life you mean? I don't bother with a lot of people either, but I don't think that I count any Trump fans among my friends.

A hairdresser I started using in February was telling me that although she thinks Trump is a bit of a fool, she believes he's saved the country. I was only going to her for a particular service and she's now completed that task, I can't bring myself to go back for basic cuts.

it certainly looks that way, however it's still entirely possible that Biden could capture Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and unlikely but possible North Carolina.
Which would be far from close in the end. And some have called Arizona and Maine already, Nevada is almost certainly blue
Not enough votes counted yet by any means, and therefore an unclear picture, especially with this foolish projection system combined with larger amounts of mail in voters.

Hey ho, it could be worse, right? We could have SCOTUS spending the next week pitting faith against same sex couples or deciding the validity of the ACA, or a nice big fat stimulus check to buy a couple of bottles of nice whisky...

Still think Biden will squeak it but no mandate.

I don't know how to have a conversation with some people. I was listening to a "woman on the street" interview yesterday with a Trump supporter who simply denied Trump's lies when they were pointed out to her by the interviewer, in the face of all rationality, and couldn't name any specific instances of Trump's accusations at all. This was around Biden being "a socialist" and voter fraud by the Democrats. And yet, here we are. She was just repeating Trump's statements as gospel.

I could just as easily have said if Biden wins this. The winner, at this point, is moot. The thinking was that by getting out the vote a more representative cross section of society would be shown, with Dems hoping to reveal a revulsion for Trump to match the MSM's fervour, but all it's done is shown how deep the rot really goes.

And soon, we'll have groups people in robes deciding whether the "handmaids" can control what happens with their own fertility.

Yes, true.
And conservative votes I can at least understand, even if I don't agree. But Trump isn't conservative.

I work with people though, who openly and actively support Trump himself, in the office on company time. That's harder to deal with because I don't love them or even really consider them as friends, but I still stay quiet.
I'm sort of trying to radicalize people slowly by introducing them to leftist ideas but in a subtle way. I had a full on Trumper libertarian on board for UBI at one point. It's all about presentation.
Grifters gonna grift.
Anyway, that's kind of meaningless, we haven't had a truly left wing Democratic President since FDR, and he was a war criminal. The Dems are still of and for the oligarchy, the military industrial complex and American imperialism.

I have a couple of good friends that are die hard Trump cult members. I have to mute one on Facebook every 30 days, but other than that, I don’t let any politics dictate my friendship. Occasionally we’ll talk about it, normally taking the piss out of each other, we don’t argue about it, but I don’t let politics discrete my friendships or who I deal with. Surely, that’s one of the big problems with this country right now isn’t it?
