2020 Election

Re: 2020 Election
Wow - Scalia died Feb 2016; so even with 10 months, they weren't able to replace him because the Senate was under Republican control and the Senate controls who is confirmed? So with the Senate under Republican control today, the same situation does not apply and a new judge could be appointed and confirmed if RBG were to pass?
The guy literally has no soul.

Sen. McConnell, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Rubio, Sen. Graham and Rep. McCarthy have all already come out and said that they do not support the election being moved.
They're 'very concerned' about election fraud though.

So determined will they be that it goes ahead on schedule, that they'll agree to the mass deployment of federal agents at voting places in order to facilitate this.

Re: 2020 Election
I can't blame the Trumpster for attempting to distract everyone's attention from the cold brutal numbers released today showing the economy contracted a record breaking 10%. in only the months April to June, because citizens are afraid to go out into harm's way. and help restart the economy. Most in history!
Trump saying he has the authority to change a federal election would be news to everyone in America. But I'm not shocked he would like to push back the Presidential Election. We are 40 days from early voting. Ballots will soon start being sent out.
Trump's problem is not the election date, his problem is he can't change who he is as a person. He doesn't give a damn about people including people that voted for him.
It's ironic that this country is so blessed that Trump is a horrible CEO, that he totally is unqualified for the huge responsibility of being a Senator or Governor, not to even mention lacking the monumental task solving abilities of being President. So I say we are blessed. We are blessed that the core workings that make Trump a hateful uncaring human-being also seriously affects his ability to problem solve. He is bad at so many things and in the end that is this nation's savings grace.
If he was just evil, hurtful and uncaring for other human beings, but he had a shred of managerial excellence involving problem solving, this country might be in serious trouble because he may have seen, early on, that the BlackLivesMatter situation was an "opportunity" to win over moderate voters by being at lease a little pseudo understanding a little pseudo caring toward people that are protesting social injustice. But thankfully with Trump evil doesn't take a holiday. He could careless about pretending that his policies don't do harm to innocent Americans. Because his policies reflect who he is as a person. So I say as a country we are so blessed that despite all the damage Trump is causing in America and around the world, him being a damaged person himself has also destroyed his Presidency. The fact that the Coronavirus was an obvious killer months before Americans became infected and started dying meant nothing to Trump because he views everything through the prism of how a situation appears right at a singular moment and how it pertain to him.
Trump didn't understand that he couldn't lie his way out of an obvious horribly managed responsibility, the job of every president has to protect American lives.. Trump's presidency is so dead and unrevivable because he can't win blue states. Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania are locked down and out of reach for Trump. All are 8 to 10 points ahead in Biden's column. Now the hard works begin to not just to defeat Trump at the polls but to destroy Trumpism. We want to win Georgia, Arizona, Florida, Ohio, North Carolina. Time to get everyone registered and voting. It's very exciting when the numbers are in favor to win a huge fight.

Them being concerned about voter fraud concerns me, it's a bit like going in to a room and farting then asking who farted to throw everybody off the scent.

They can be 'very concerned' all they want. You know it's going to be their go-to line if they get their clock cleaned in November anyway.

Re: 2020 Election
Just watched the Trump press conference. You couldn't help but noticed that Donald looked and sounded very defeated. Haven't seen him like this since his return from that Tulsa rally weeks ago. I am a little concerned what he might try now that he realizes he is losing this election big time, and even in conservative states like Florida and North Carolina.
And I can say for a fact there are a lot of parents who are not going to send their kids back to school in a raging pandemic. I particularly found it amusing that Trump said Europe is having just as many new infections as America. He acted like he didn't believe his own lies today. I almost felt sorry for the monster.
