Re: 2016 Election

The Trump campaign has already declared they will be treated unfairly tonight. For being the #1 self appointed -- Toughest Guy in the World -- he sure is a big girl.

Also, they are (1) ridiculing Hillary for preparing for the debate [even though behind the scenes Trump has been doing debate prep like crazy] and (2) have doubled down on the assertion that fact-checking is just plain stupid and unnecessary.

So, to recap, the Trump position is that being prepared and telling the truth is for idiots. Nice.

Yup. If you weren't lying every 30 seconds ... maybe the big, bad fact-checkers wouldn't seem so scary.

4. Don't open your mouth in a rictus grin and point at some imaginary friend in the audience.

Top Tips for Trump:

1. Don't mention anybody's menstrual cycle.

2. Use extra orange lotion to cover your Swastika tats. This is a long debate with no commercials and we all know how sweaty you tend to get.

3. Wear your Dr. Scholls inserts. 90 minutes is a long time for those tiny feet to hold up your lardy ass.

Politifact has 52% of Trump's statements either "false" or "pants on fire", with 13% of Clinton's statements falling into those two categories. On the flip side it has 15% of Trump's statements as "true" or "mostly true", with 50% of Clinton's statements falling into those two categories:

Donald Trump's file | PolitiFact
Hillary Clinton's file | PolitiFact

Yeah but Clinton gets held to count for her lies whereas Trump's lies are just really not that big of a deal. Yet he's the one always whining and crying about unfair treatment.

Wish I was a moderator. First question to Trump "When can we expect you to show your tax returns? All Presidents starting with Nixon have done so up to now"

Re: 2016 Election

Reading commentary online I have a few conclusions about the debate:

1) There is no way for Hillary to actually "win" the debate.

2) Trump's bar is set so low that assuming he doesn't explode, all the headlines will be about how surprisingly statesmanlike he was.

3) Arguing with stupid people, you get dragged down to their level.

4) Neither will really talk policy, Trump particularly.

5) Hillary's best bet might be to just ignore the orange troll and talk to the room.

Hillary should not make eye contact with the Umpa Loompa under any circumstances.

Bloomberg News and PBS are doing live fact checking
