The fact that my sister and brother in law waited ten years for their residency visas, had to pass medical examinations, a background check by the FBI and I had to sign an affidavit of support in case they became a liability on the state must make them seem like chumps eh?

Why more people do not use the absentee voter system is beyond me. This should be the voting system of the future instead of lining up outside booths and people pestering you to find out who you intend to vote for

Oh, you pretty much did that to yourself when you decided to focus all of your complaints on Mexicans as you defend the laws that have been violated by Europeans.
You should ask Melania Trump. She worked here illegally, but that doesn't bother you one whit.

Re: 2016 Election
... The 538 site has shown a significant drop in Clinton's lead, but she's still ahead 64/36%. They are showing Nevada, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, Iowa and Ohio all voting Republican at this point, but Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Colorado are all still Democrat.
As of now, Hilary is showing 291 Electoral Votes to Trump's 246, and the popular vote breakdown is 48/45.
I'm reading that Hillary's ground game is going to be the key now; she's enlisting the heavy hitters to get out the vote.
On a less encouraging note, 538 is showing the Dem's chances of getting control of the senate at only 50.2% (down from 68% on Nov 2). Nevada and New Hampshire are hanging by a thread on the Dem side; without those, the Senate stays R.
ETA - just saw this article - looks like HuffPo has Hillary a near certainty (98%) and is criticising Nate Silver's 538 approach. Interesting.

Ew Yuk - Monday morning - little change in the presidential race (66%) but the Senate race is now showing as 49.9%, down from 57% last night.

Hugh Laurie can't understand why people hate Clinton... funny segment overall, nice bit about how things aren't as dire as politicians are making out.

Skip to 1:30 for the general stuff, or to 3:20 for the start of the 'Hilary' part. Something like "... I feel like I missed the first reel of the film, where she burned down the orphanage or something"

Re: 2016 Election
I really cannot wait for this sh1tshow to be over, just read a thread where the Podesta brothers are linked to the Madeleine McCann disappearance as there is a Wikileaks email that shows they traveled to Portugal once.
Along with high-up people in the Trump camp claiming it's impossible to read more than 1 email a second
and Trumps only celebrity to appear with him being Ted Nugent
maybe I should just buy a bottle of booze, down it and come round on Wednesday?

Where offered it seems popular and well used however.
Then there will always be a percentage of voters who are too paranoid to vote by mail.

You and me both, mate but will it really ever be over? If Hillary wins, then we'll have to listen to the Trumpeters and their butthurt, not to mention Trump's concession speech is likely to be a joke.
Then if Trump wins we have to deal with, well Trump winning.
