2016 Election

Re: 2016 Election
She negates the "First Woman President" meme that is The Hill's main calling card...although there are women's issues that play to Hillary. And Carly needs a better haircut.
A debate/cat fight between Fiorina the Fierce and The Hildebeest would be hugely entertaining, if nothing else. Could be like the Gypsy women fighting to the death in "From Russia With Love." Ticket scalpers to that event would make a fortune.

"Cat fight"? I'm sure you enjoyed the contrived dick waving contest by supposedly advanced primates the other night on Fox Entertainment channel, and want more. This is the trouble with some Americans apparently. They view partisan politics as sports rivalries and not something that's real.

Just a reminder to all the tender souls in BritishExpat who are so, so easily offended, but who feel so free to fling their own clever insults. American politics always has been an impolite contact sport.
MickeyD, who calls me odious, is the one who came up with the "Fiorina the Fierce" tag for Carly. I was amused by that - perhaps I should have lit into MMcD for having come up with such an odious moniker for such a nice person as Ms. Fiorina; and exhibited just as much outrage as you others.
"Hildebeest" is a decades-old tag for Hillary, not one I invented. She earned it with her wicked temper, for which she is famous. Apparently it's OK to savage Fiorina or Sarah Palin, but Hillary and Debbie Wasserman Schultz are untouchable - at least here.
The reference to Carly needing a better haircut might seem sexist, except that Hillary has been seeking a better haircut for quite some time. She recently made headlines when she closed down part of Bergdorf Goodman so she could get a $600.00 haircut from a styling genius. [http://pagesix.com/2015/07/28/hillar...-on-lockdown/] Compare her haircut now with her haircut when she gave the "what does it matter" outburst at the Benghazi hearings.
The rest of the post was an attempt at making a light-hearted comment. Certainly, if Fiorina and Clinton had a debate - even on Fox - half the country would be tuned in and some network would make a huge profit.

On "Fox New Sunday", George Will referred to Trump as ".... this course and vulgar man .....".
I don't think George Will likes Trump.

One page confirmed all my pre-conceived notions. Billary or Bernie crowd. With Bernie being the centrist.

Anyway speaking of Bernie... Just the 28,000 in Portland. Not surprising as it his sort of town. I do wonder why the Black Lives Matter crowd are focusing on his rallies for disruptions. I assume it's because he doesn't pander and believes his economic policies will solve the problems of structural racism, but that's not what they want to hear, although it seems to me that Sanders' agenda will do more to cure the problem rather than things such as police body cameras which just treat the symptoms.
ETA: I see Bernie has updated his policies for racial justice, so let's see how that goes.

Perhaps you need to read a little more than one page then, or just let your confirmation bias take over. Or maybe you could actually contribute your view point rather than sniping.

And there is nothing wrong with her hair.

Re: 2016 Election
I find it strange that Black Lives Matter activists are targeting Bernie. Is there something in his past that irritates them? Or just his lack of enthusiasm on racial matters? It doesn't track well for me, at least not on a visual level, storming the stage and yelling at an elderly man doesn't get me on board for the cause at all. Why don't they go yell at Republicans? Or the NAACP? I reckon it's Bernie's lack of entourage/security that makes him most attractive to the protesters, not his actual policies.
