Default 2011 RBS Six 6 Nations Rugby in Chicago?

Hi there everyone.

Just wondered if anyone knew of any good places to watch rugby games in the Chicago Land area? Especially the upcoming RBS Six Nations.

Any recommendations welcome, or if you want to join me give me a shout!!

Cheers,

Tom

I believe the very last Wales player left standing was just injured, so England should be all alone on the field. If I was them I'd take a good book.

It is a shame about all the injuries that Wales have incurred... but if I have learnt only one thing from international rugby (especially competitions) is never to under estimate your opponent!

I'm excited to see the replacements that Gatland selects... you never know what might happen!

Any advice about how to get BBC over there? Not moving till April but keen to know I can still get some advert-free TV once there..

I have been doing some research on how to watch online British TV... and the best solution (and cheapest... its free) I have come across is called "Expat Shield".

Yes - Expat Shield in order to use UK-only sites like iPlayer.

MyP2P.eu lists fairly reliable live streams for most televised rugby.

BitTorrent for downloading (usually major) games a day or so after they've played.

All free.

We tried watching some of the autumn internationals live on BBC iPlayer but for some reason they wouldn't work, so we ended up listening on 5Live.

I've just checked the website for our local Irish pub and they are showing:
Rugby Games:
Saturday, February 5 - 11:00am - France vs Scotland
Saturday, February 12 - 11:00am - Scotland vs Wales
Saturday, February 26 - 11:00am - England vs France
Saturday, March 13 - 10:00am - England vs Scotland
Saturday, March 19 - 12:00pm - Ireland vs England

I'm assuming Wales V England (and the other missing ones) are on BBC America?

Did you try Expat Shield when you did this? If not then this may be your answer.

I ditched my cable a months or two ago so have no idea if a BBC America schedule has been posted for this. If not then don't assume that it will be shown - last year was the first time any matches were shown (from memory) and it was a fairly random selection that aired, with no apparent rhyme or reason to it. You're lucky your local pub is showing them though!

Yup, last year was the first time (for BBC America at least). My collegue and I sent a flurry of emails to BBC America after the schedule was released as Scotland V England wasn't included. I think a lot of people complained and it suddenly got added
