The UK is demonstrably better here, and that gives you the right at some sort of criticism?

We actually do take part in most sports, but alas, we do not win the medals each time.

I imagine we lack in comparison to the UK in hubris, arrogance and stereotyping as well.

YOu win the gold medal hands down, frankly.

Shucks! I have never won anything before.

We do. The actual question is why the British refuse to recognize this fact.

Why is that exactly?

Are the only defined "international" team sports controlled by Blighty?

Jim.
One wonders why we haven't had the British invade and show these American wimps the error of their ways as compared to the true sportsman of Britain.

It would be instructive to us all for you to show us the error of our ways and to absolutely show us how wimpy these "men" are.

Do cross the Atlantic and teach us the error of our ways.

I mean honestly, Americans do not know their back from their front, and need you to tell us of our warts and blemishes. Oh, do instruct us on the error of our ways, and lead us to that glorious European sophistication we have heard tell about. History shows that to be true. European enlightenment is the end all and be all of history, and do condescend to your American inferiors all your knowledge.

A good start towards sophistication might be to stop quoting your own posts, and then replying.

I was not quoting my own posts, but quoting the mindset here.

Why don't you try to answer the real question? Europeans are hardly in a position to question the US. Europeans had their welfare states indirectly bankrolled by the US tax payer, but Europeans roundly criticize us.

In fact, Europe always criticize the US..always....during the cold war. It was always America, not the Soviets, that were the problem. Your protests in your streets.

Europeans like to think themselves learned and sophisticated above Americans, but the latest problem on your continent was not resolved by European cunning, but by the hammer of American Force.

And yes, I mean Serbia. NATO is a joke without us. You know it and I know it, but I am tired of being fleeced as an American Tax payer.

Just remember that, even when you are talking to yourselves in the socialist parlors of Europe. Your sophistication meant nothing.

nato is set up to encourage american expansionism, sometimes it does good, sometimes it is useless.

to say it is useless without america is undermining other important countries in it and shows what a conceited little fool you are sunshine.

you have a lot of chip on your shoulder my son!

american tax payer argument. lol.

The same one that's also known as "Sophistication Central"? I'd be chuffed to bits if I could cross that one off my bucket list.

You're complaining to the wrong audience, unless you are looking for someone to agree with you. NATO has long (always?) been a two legged stool. I am inclined to agree that the European members of NATO are a joke, but don't lump Britain in with the Europeans.
