Default Visa to Australia

Not sure if this is the right forum so please move if not.
I have a Thai friend who wishes to visit Australia for a short one-month holiday. Would it be best for him to apply in person at an Australian embassy in Thailand or should I do it here in Australia?

Visitor visa (subclass 600)

Your friend needs to apply for his own visa - you cannot do it for him.

Thanks. That being the case would the embassy or a travel agent be best?

Your friend can apply online or by post via the Australia Visa Application Centre in Bangkok. The link that Dorothy posted contains all the information you need about how to do this.
