Tourist Visa

Tourist Visa
It's now been confirmed that from 13 November 2015, visitors to Thailand can obtain a 6-month multi-entry visa for stays of up to 60 days per visit. It will cost THB5,000 per visa.
There is nothing in the announcement to suggest that this visa can be obtained on arrival so presumably it is available only through embassies and consulates.

So what's that about then? Sounds like they are caving in and admitting that they cannot keep control of visa runners (and presumably this is now a hot potato amongst ASEAN countries) so issue a visa to cover the visa runners? Amazing Thailand.

Re: Tourist Visa
yeah, it's strange that they're actually doing something that sounds quite good. People would still have to do border hops though to activate another entry.
i'm guessing that you could actually get 9 months out of it if you entered on the last day of the visa's validity and then extended your 60 days for (presumably) another 30.
watch this space.
The Chinese visit Thailand the most these days, no idea if that means anything, I can't see it really as they mostly visit on package tours.
