Phuket on 150 k

Hi,
I have an interview for a job in Phuket on 150 k a month all in.
is that enough money on phuket.
Is phuket a good place to be and make friends or is it just a holiday bubble with many negatives ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Phuket on 150 k

It depends on your job and workplace, i.e. in the city centre or near Patong Beach. Evidence from this forum shows most people like to go on holiday rather than working there for various reasons, e.g. concerns about health and safety, crime from gangsters, prostitutes, drugs, etc. With your monthly salary of 150k baht, you need to pay 25% income tax. That means you will get roughly 113K per month. The cost of living in Phuket is getting higher over the past 5 years. Not sure if it is enough for your family or even you alone; all is up to your lifestyle. You can always make friends with the locals or holiday makers if you wish.
