Default Moving to Phuket

Hi all,
I've just accepted a job offer to teach in an International school in Phuket.
What are the main things I need to sort in the UK before I leave?? (will be moving in August) .. (school is helping with visa etc).
What are the essentials that I should take with me? I'll be moving into a furnished apartment so won't need anything in that respect.
Anything I should definitely not take?
Any top tips for when I arrive?

Many thanks :-)

Most important item is a correct visa. Not just a 30 day visa waiver entry, and all other will be done here. Make sure you have health insurance provided. Bring whatever you personally need. Check out ajarn.com. Lots of info for teaching jobs.
Good luck.

Sounds cool, man. Is the school providing the furnished apartment for you? How much are they willing to pay you a month, in US dollars?
