I wouldn't have thought it would make a difference. Do check with different banks though when you are changing up. Last time we went and took foreign currency, found quite a difference in exchange rates between different banks. Worth shopping around.

I have both currencies but what I don't know is which gives me a better THB rate.

AUD/HKD 6.92274
HKD/AUD 0.144450
AUD/THB 29.126
HKD/THB 4.20701
That should be all the info you need. I'll let you work out/decide which is the best rate (although to me there seems to be very little in it). As BB says, best to shop around and do the conversion calculations at the time.

I usualy get one of those travel cards which connects to your internet banking. You just top it up via online if you need and after your holiday is over you can transfer the remainder card funds back into your savings account. My one had multi currency choices, but I do know that not all banks offer that. Usualy just USD as default.

1 HKD - 4.24 THB
1 HKD - 4.24 THB
