Hey guys

I plan on moving to Bangkok in August. I really like playing online poker. (is it legal to play) I'd like to know how good their internt connection is? How fast is it, are there powercuts, etc.

Got a choice of 3: Singapore, Hong Kong or Bangkok. I'll probably end up doing accountancy in the UK. But I'd like to keep my options open. I've ruled out Dubai - no poker/slave labour.

So Internet connection and playing online poker in Thailand? Any thoughts?

No I don't play games. I grew out of that about 40 years ago. Much more interesting things to do in Penang... and Thailand too.

All forms of gambling ( apart from the state run national lottery ) are illegal in Thailand. But having said that loads of things are illegal here and people still do them on a daily basis si I wouldn't let that stop you. A lot of sites might be blocked though.
No problems with internet in BKK and you can get hi-speed internet. Very rare to get a powercut too.

Gambling is illegal in Thailand. Poker sites are all blocked. You can still use a VPN or a proxy to get on any sites you want.
