Hi All
I have a few queries around education/exam choices etc taken at the end of year 10.
We live in Ireland, but are originally from the UK so my daughter was educated from reception -end yr 7 in UK came here and completed 1st 2nd 3rd year secondary school (equivalent of 8,9,10) and sits her Junior Certificate in June this year.
We are planning on coming over between sept-nov and she would fit into tail end of year 10 (which she has already completed) then start year 11 in new term Jan/Feb.
Firstly when do they make their subject choices (what month)?
Will she be at a disadvantage not having completed yr 10 in OZ? She will have junior cert results from Ireland.
Would it be advantageous for her to repeat year 10? Is this possible?
How many subject choices do they make?

She is a bright girl who would be taking Maths, English, Science, Business (accounting) Art French, Applied Maths if she stayed here to do Leaving Certificate.

If anybody with experience can shed some light i'd be very grateful.
