Hi, I'm trying to find out where I would be on the pay scale in NZ...has anyone got any info on this. I did a search and found a thread but the link didn't work

I know, I found it difficult to track down and even more difficult to understand. It's also not very much so be prepared!! I couldn't believe payscales started at $30K!!! I think it also depends if you're primary or secondary. The teachers unions have some info:

scroll down to salary.

Also try contacting them with a basic outline of your qualifications and experience and they may be able to give you some indication?

Ah, thanks that was very helpful. I am a supply teacher and have a daily rate which is based on my payscale. According to the link, if I start at the bottom of salary group 4 (this is where I think I'll be according to my degree) then I'll only be £10 a day worse off!! Sounds ok if you word it like that!
