US Teacher Shortage
I just saw an article on CNN about our teacher shortage in US. Nationally according to the article 112,000 teachers short. The article was focused on Arizona and recruitment of Philippine teachers to help fill the gap of 7000 vacancies statewide. |

No surprise there - teachers in the US work two or three jobs in order to pay the bills - salary is atrocious.
Elementary School Teacher Average $64,020 Range $41,470 - $88,780 Middle School Teacher Average $63,110 Range $43,170 - $87,490 Not bad for a job with 16 weeks vacation and in many schools a 4.5 day week. |
