Thinking of teaching Religious Education in QLD
Hello I am just beginning the process of getting my teaching skills assessed in order to hopefully teach Religious Education in QLD. I am currently teaching general RE in a Catholic sixth form in Preston. I have previously taught in a C of E secondary school in Oldham. I have been teaching since 1997 except for a gap year in OZ and maternity leave for my two children. Just wondered if someone could help with my confusion on a number of things! Do I need to provide evidence for my teaching practice during my PGCE and my present teaching experience? Do I have to get a reference from my present employer as I really don't want them to know about my intentions yet? Do I need to get a break down of my BAhons and PGCE content? Do I require a reference from my previous school? Hope this makes sense! If anyone could help that would be great.
Andrea PS. If anyone teaches RE in QLD and could let me know how likely job vacancies in the Catholic sector are I would be very grateful! |

Does anyone know if it is ok to get a reference just from your head of department or does the head have to give you your reference to get your skills assessed?
