Default TEFL

I was lucky enough to get in TEFL when it was still a growth industry. My first job was in Berlin in 1968. I retired in 2011 after a lifetime working in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Zambia, Nigeria and Bulgaria. Opportunities are more restricted now and the great demand for the "Native Speaker" has abated. Consumers have realised that the mystique of being a in a class where the teacher is from the Anglosphere has no grounding in reality. No need to have a native speaker in that role !
