Teaching Job before Travel?
 

Hi

Pls could somebody point me in the right direction. Where could I find info re teaching jobs available in Australia? Just doing research at the moment and I am interested to see if their are infact teaching posts available.

Those teachers already in Oz did you secure employment before you travelled? I am looking at a 175 visa.

Tried and failed first time round but would recommend recruitment agencies just be aware of the nature of the schools where most opportunities exist.

Hays have some opportunities and Smart are mentioned on this board. I'm sure there are others!

I got a job through Smart before I came out, and also one I applied for directly by looking at the employment websites. For both I had very cursory phone interviews. Neither were great jobs though, one was only part time but working part of every day and the other was in a pretty rubbish school. But it is possible, though you'll prob get better jobs once you're out here.
