teaching another subject thats not my own in Oz
 

I am a qualified P.E teacher and have taught this for the past 9 years , for the past two years i have also taught I.T as well as guidance and PHSRE.
am i only able to put down P.E for teaching or can i put down I.T. also even though my degree is B.Ed Physical education?

What proof do i need that i have been teaching this?

Is this for your skills assessment/visa application/ or just applying for a job at a school?

I am not sure what you need to put down on a skills assessment application but I am pretty sure that for a job application you just need to put down the subjects that you believe you are competent in. This would obviously be the subjects that you have taught and the subjects that you originally were trained in.

Depending on the size of the school you may be able to branch out a little further. My training was in Secondary Japanese and Modern History however I ended up with a job in a small school teaching mostly Geography with a little bit of SOSE and Modern History. While I was there they also offered me in school and external training in teaching English so I could add more strings to my bow. However I left before that could happen.

Skills assessment - Won't make any difference, as long as you have the 4yr BEd or PGCE.

Visa Application - Doesn't matter, as long as you can show 12 months working over 20hrs/week as a qualified teacher.

Job - Obviously depends on the job decription. Put it on your CV, won't do any harm.
