Is it worth getting my CV professional 'done' for the aussie market???

I'm updating mine @ the moment...it's a total nightmare, and so far, is 4 pages long!

I wouldn't bother getting someone else to do it, but I would update it and add more information than you have in your UK one about each job. Lets of schools have application forms rather than cvs anyway so don't stress too much as you might not even use it.

I wouldn't bother to get it professionally done. Actually I wouldn't bother changing it much at all - just keep it concise and to the point :D

Two pages if you ask me, is nowhere near enough, particularly for someone with a lot of relevant experience, so I'm aiming for a maximum, an absolute maximum, of four....

I've just got a lot of experience, I suppose that's what comes with working in a small school, you do a lot of things, without much choice! That and I have another career alongside my teaching, can't not mention it! lol

Actually, one thing that could help cut down my CV length, is removing the addresses of the schools I've taught in over the years, does it matter if they're not there? If rather than the full address I just put the postcode for instance?

i have been advised to only put the city they are in, that would save a lot of space. i understand about accumilating experience, courses, quals etc, must be tricky to know what to leave out put in etc

I'm lacking a serious amount of motivation this past 2 days, feeling really down about all of this...need a good kick up the @rse if u ask me!

I never put addresses, only the city and country for each school.

And I only put down the best things i've done- limiting it to 4 bullet points per post (though If i've had more than one post at the same school I do put them separately).

Never gone above 2 pages, ever.

Oh and you should never use font below Arial 10 (or times new roman 11) or older SMT with failing eyesight will throw out your application in annoyance.

Does a CV have to have written at the top CURRICULUM VITAE then my name underneath!? lol

CV short, punchy covering letter - look them up and say why you want to work there.

Just over 2, which I suppose is considered 3, but SHHHHHH don't tell anyone lol
