Default Open university (UK) while temp living in Australia

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if this is possible?

I need to study a few modules to update my 3 year teaching degree to the Aussie 4 year standard...

Im currently on a 457 visa (valid till 2014) however Id still be classed as an international student therefore HUGE student fees which I just cant afford!

Regards

Default DET conditional Accreditation

Anyone know how long the DET will allow you to casual teach before they insist that you undergo extra study?

I have a 3 year degree and need my qualifications to match that of 4 year degree...I was on a working holiday visa for 1 year but have just moved to a 457 visa as a defacto...

My issue is not the studying it is the cost involved! Ideally Id like to casual teach, save and then be able to do my modules part time while continuing to teach...

Thanks!

Laura

If your serious about a teaching career in Australia you'll need a DipEd. It might be worth biting the bullet and getting one as It's probably better in the long run. Even with good foriegn qualifications teachers with dipeds will always get ahead of you.

No chance here in SA and I am sure that would be the same elsewhere in Australia.
