Obtaining QTS in UK
I'm a British citizen and have been living and training in Perth for 2.5 years.
Once my training is complete, I'd like to move back to the UK to teach. I understand I will need to do supply work, until I am lucky enough to get my foot in the 'permanent job' door so to speak.
How complicated a process is it to obtain QTS in the UK?

Hi Tracey
You will need to do the Overseas Trained Teacher Program (OTTP) but to enrol on this you will need to find a teaching post. I trained in QLD and came home to the UK last May, fortunately I got a teaching job as an 'Unqualified Teacher'. I have nearly finished the OTTP, it has taken me about 5 months, then I'll have QTS.
