Largest & Most Current China School Blacklists & Whitelists + Scam Alerts 4 Teachers

I just found some great sites for anyone thinking about teaching in China. I just returned and trust me when I tell you mates - it is a bloody minefield there. The Chinese have devised a dozen different ways to cheat teachers and the scams are not just limited to the agents! Even your own school will find ways to make money off your back. Anyway these sites below were all created by foreign expat teachers to sound timely alarms. Use them well and you will be safe instead of sorry!

Also when you arrive at the airport in China beware of two immediate scams...

1) Taxi drivers that greet you and want to take you to your hotel with a negotiated fee instead of using the meters, or they have cars that are not clearly marked "Taxi" with lighted signs on the roof. No destination in any city will cost you more than 100 yuan (about 11 pounds) but if you take the wrong cab you could end up being beaten and robbed.

2) Beautiful young ladies who approach you and ask to share a cab, tea, or lunch together. No they are not prostitutes but something worse. They will take you to a tea house or restaurant and have tea or lunch with you before they "go to the WC" and never return. Then the waiter presents you with a $500 bill! You can't speak Chinese but they can say "police" in English! Here's an article that explains some more typical scams for teachers arriving in China: http://www.cityweekend.com.cn/beijin...teacher-fraud/
