How long...QLD reg.?

Hiya!
Just wondering if anyone has applyed to Qld to register. If so how long did it take for them to get back intouch with you?
I wanted to apply before we moved but we only have 9 weeks before we fly.
Do I have enough time?
:fingerscrossed:

Do you have an address you can use in Australia? If so, use that. If not, then probably not as it might not be processed in time.

My husband is a UK trained Primary school teacher and we moved to Australia last year. It took 5 months to get his qualifications recognised by the Queensland College of Teachers so I wouldn't delay in submitting your paperwork any longer. Hopefully it will be quicker for you! :fingerscrossed:

Hello all

I must have been more lucky - mine took about 5 weeks, I did give QCT a couple of calls along the way and they were very helpful and happy to get it through as quickly as they could! I'm UK trained secondary and I sent it in last October.

I actually only gave them a week, then phoned to check that they had received everything and then asked about the timeline. I was already here, so I did explain that I really needed the registration as soon as possible. They actually needed one more document from me and told me that there was a chance it could be processed within about three weeks if they received it, so I got it sent and phoned back after three weeks to gently hassle them again and it was almost done - received it the following week.

They were really helpful and quite happy to speak to me about it. I would definitely give them a call if only just to see what current processing times are.:)
