Re: french teachers
Hi, i think as a start you could have a look at the careers website in australia such as www.seek.com.au or http://www.careerone.com.au/ or http://mycareer.com.au/ and have a search with keyword french . i noticed that catholic primary schools or some private school particulary look for french teachers. where are you from by the way?

I just looked at the Brisbane schools, and out of 21 that I could check, 6 teach French. |
Re: french teachers
They teach French at my kids school here in Perth, and in a few schools roundabout (primary & secondary.) Couldn't tell you how big a demand there is though. Best of luck.

Re: french teachers
Hi Mandurah Baptist College (funnily enough in Mandurah!) teach French definitely at Primary School and I'm presuming they follow it through to Secondary.
The 2 Catholic primary schools near us - one does Italian and the other Indonesian. Indonesian and I think Mandarin are more commonly taught here. Good luck I wish mine were learning French - at least I'd know some of it! |

Re: french teachers
I don't know why anyone bothers to learn french, it's a complete waste of time. French is a relic of the past and hardly spoken outside France. The only foreign languages that should be taught in schools are Chinese, Japanese & Spanish.

Anyway French is not commonly taught in secondary schools, but it is taught in a number of schools so there are possibilities for employment. |
