Which company did you use to help?
My DH and I are considering applying to live and work in Oz very soon.
I am a teacher with a few years exp. We have three young children and my brother lives in Sydney. Can anyone recommend an immigration company to help us with the paperwork and visa application? I have done some research but would like to know about people's personal experiences. Some of the businesses have terrible reviews and my brother said the company he used was awful. The immi website is confusing enough, how does anyone manage to wade through it all? Any help or advice would be gratefully received. Many Thanks S x |

Hi we came via sponsorship.
It is possible to do the forms yourself, lots of info on the main immigration forum of expats. Otherwise gomatilda has very good reputation and has a website. Gems |

Sending paperwork to Teaching Australia is fairly straight forward and then applying for the visa. If you need any info please feel free to PM me. Good luck Nicky |

We did it ourselves. The Teaching Australia skills assessment is pretty straightforward, as is the skilled visa application.
It is quite time consuming and you need to be well organised but you will save thousands of pounds by doing it yourself. |

Re: Which company did you use to help?
We arrived on our 175 visa back in August last year and we did the whole thing ourselves from filling the forms to sending qualifications off for verification.
It was surprisingly straightforward and I'm glad we didn't pay out the vast sums for an agent, like a friend did when they applied to Canada. The visa finally arrived in January 2009 after applying on 19 March 2008. Ours was a paper based application. It's a lot more straightforward than it appears on the immi website. I would advise you to download the form and fill it in with the information you have at hand. That will give you an idea of what you need to get ready before applying online. |
