Hi, new here and just starting a more serious phase of exploring a teaching move to the States. I've registered with what was the British Schools of America - now owned by Nord Anglia - and would appreciate any advice from anyone who had experience of this group of schools. Looking at Charlotte, Houston, DC, Boston & Chicago.
Happy to PM anyone who can help.
Thanks,
Mike

I realise this was posted months ago! But have u had any luck in searching for a job? I am currently looking into moving in the future. I am currently doing a pgde in Scotland and I have started research on teaching and moving abroad. I want better prospects for myself and for my family. Anyway just wanted to know how u were progressing!

The OP hasn't been on the forum for about 6 months, so may not see your question - probably the best thing to do would be to ask in the US forums, as more people will see your question there including any teachers on the forum.
Good luck.

Hi Lauren, haven't had any luck with the BSA as yet but that is mostly a case of subject-suitable jobs not coming up at the right time. The advertise in the TES but you can register with them and they email job alerts in advance of the TES ads.
I'm currently going through the registration process with EPI, they seem good - very thorough - but that is just my personal opinion based on a few emails and guidance info. This is the link: https://teachwithepi.com/
Hope it works out for you. If you have any other Q's I'm happy to share my limited knowledge.

Hi Mike! How are you getting on with EPI? Is it the same sort of deal as VIF? I'm still interested in moving abroad but I would not want to come home ay the end of the program! Hope all is well! X
