Default Asbestos concerns in NT school

This really concerns me. I realise the teachers in question have issues with employment with the DET but the lack of concern the state has for the welfare of the children is a scandal.

I've worked in a school where its is possible the children and I have been exposed to asbestos in Manchester. Similarly, the council clearly showed a lack of concern for the welfare of the children. When asked, the headteacher at the school did not believe she needed to tell the parents of the effected children beacuse ''they could be exposed to asbestos in any building they go in, not just the school''.

Naively I thought it was just the UK that held money above the safety of children.
