Any teachers arriving in WA in July?
Hello,
just wondering if anyone on here is off to Western Australia in July? I know they have a few teachers arriving in Perth in July.
Working for WA education department, on sponsorship?

I'll be arriving sometime between Sept - December. Are you doing the orientation course with the Dept of Education?

Hello,
yes think everyone has to do some sort of orientation course. Hubby does a 3 day course in Perth during July, before starting work in the school they allocated.
Heard they have employed 12 teachers from the UK who are coming in July. Also think another couple of teachers from different country e.g canada.

You only have to do an orientation course and observed teaching if you want to work in the state schools.
I would be interested in what you have to do, if its too much hassle I'll stick to a bit of supply in private schools!

Ive spoken to a couple of teachers who did it in January and its supposed to be ok.
Will let you know more information once hubby has done the course.

Hi I will be arriving in Perth in July and need help finding a teaching job in a primary school. But i thought you could not apply until registered and completed the orientation course - how have people already been offered jobs- cant find out anything from the education dept website
