Hi I've just been to an Expo in Leeds and was told that Adelaide state are sponsoring teachers! I am also going to go through that route!
I am finishing my NQT year first and then will apply for a state sponsored visa.
What do you teach?

Not sure the reasons for sponsoring but Secondary Teachers are currently on the CSL list so this main prioritise your application a little if this helps.

Here's a link to the immigration section on BE with the links for sponsored lists

Just be careful that they are in date.

Hi

I have been sponsored as a secondary teacher by Victoria. This did not require any financial backing on my part and is a permanent residency visa.

They as far as I know are still sponsoring teachers if your subject is on their most wanted list.

Hope this helps...good luck

Hi Guys,

New to the thread so apologies if I've missed something obvious.

In the process of getting SS from Victoria as a secondary technology teacher.

Although secondary technology is not currently on thier list I had enquired before the changes in Jan and thay allowed me to apply post haste so to speak.

Just got my VIT registration confirmed. Any ideas of a timframe? No real hurry but it would be good to have an idea.

Bezza

I understand that NT are sponsoring teachers. Apparently you can apply with them online to the DET NT, but apply to schools for jobs. Don't know any details though sorry.....
