Not been a great couple of days. That weirdo/misfit 'advisor' and Boris not bothering to visit the areas hit.

'The delivery happened after facing several difficulties and therefore, my husband and I wanted to make the day memorable," she continued.' Having your belly cut open and two babies removed from your womb wasn't memorable enough?

“The couple did state that they may change their decision later, and rename their children.“

The more of this article I read, the more I questioned the sanity of this particular young couple.

I remember stopping at a small store in Death Valley 20+ years ago. They had a clock and a thermometer on the porch, in the shade. It was approx 10 am and it showed 124F.

The little town has the perfect name for the area too, Furnace Creek, population 24 & 190 feet below sea level.

In 1913 a temp of 134F in Death Valley was recorded, but that recording has been disputed as not accurate.

Before this most recent, 2013 saw 129.2F (54C) which is considered by some as being the highest reliably record temp.

I went to furnace creek as a kid, it was hot but certainly not that hot, 122F is the hottest I have experienced.

But this death valley temp is a dry, only 7% humidity. but of course at that temp, its like being on an oven.

Serious safety note, if you ever do venture into Death Valley in the summer, heed the warning signs and bring water, at least 1 gallon per person per day if not planning to be active, more if going for a hike. main cause of deaths in death valley is single vehicle accidents so drive safely.

'Dead' woman discovered alive in body bag at funeral home
A young woman who was declared dead at her suburban Detroit home opened her eyes at a funeral home as she was about to be embalmed, a lawyer has said.
“They would have begun draining her blood to be very, very frank about it,” Geoffrey Fieger told WXYZ-TV.

The Southfield fire department acknowledged it was involved in a bizarre set of events on Sunday that began when a medical crew was summoned to a home where a 20-year-old woman was unresponsive.
Paramedics tried to revive her for 30 minutes and consulted an emergency room doctor, the department said.
The doctor “pronounced the patient deceased based upon medical information provided” from the scene, the department said.

Not always easy to 'diagnose' death. There have been many reports such as this. Easy to say that you hear a heart beat but is the silence actually silence.
Obviously if paramedics are there they should have been able to do an ECG and give time to observe.

GPs called to give a certificate in a natural elderly death---the rule is 'don't hurry' ---then there will be other confirmatory signs.

If she survives she will have quite the story to tell.

Surprised an autopsy was not wanted, she was only 20, and wasn't in a medical facility, and generally in young people an autopsy is performed unless they have died in a medical facility of a known cause.

Reading another article on this, paramedics spent 30 minutes trying to revive her, including CPR, their equipment was showing no signs of life, so they stopped life saving procedures and contacted a doctor at the hospital emergency room, who after reviewing the medical data sent by the paramedics declared her dead.

The family have probably the best personal injury lawyer in the upper mid-west on their side.

Revenge of the killer whales.

On 29 July, off Cape Trafalgar, Victoria Morris was crewing a 46ft delivery boat that was surrounded by nine orcas. The cetaceans rammed the hull for over an hour, spinning the boat 180 degrees, disabling the engine and breaking the rudder, as they communicated with loud whistling.

It felt, she said, “totally orchestrated”. Earlier that week, another boat in the area reported a 50-minute encounter; the skipper said the force of the ramming “nearly dislocated the helmsman’s shoulder”.

At 11.30 the previous night, British couple Beverly Harris and Kevin Large’s 40ft yacht was brought to a sudden halt, then spun several times; Harris felt the boat “raise a little”.

Earlier that evening, Nick Giles was motorsailing alone when he heard a horrific bang “like a sledgehammer”, saw his wheel “turning with incredible force”, disabling the steering as his 34ft Moody yacht spun 180 degrees. He felt the boat lift and said he was pushed around without steering for 15 minutes.

Vietnamese seize 320,000 used condoms, which were going to be washed, reshaped, and sold as new.

I'd like to know how they got so many used condoms.....

Also would be nice if the article says if they were meant for Thailand market, exported elsewhere.

And no way of knowing how many have been sold in the past.
