OK, that does contradict what you said before!

I count my blessings I can afford it ... Another 2 months of discomfort and I can forget about it all !
Hope all goes well. From some of your posts it seems you have had a rough time.

I did state it was what she billed, and did state costs of running a clinic had to come of of that amount, and that is wasn't all profit. It made sense to me, but maybe I worded it poorly, often things make sense to me and not others.

Of course billings doesn't mean profit docs have to pay the costs of running their clinic out of that.

Both state the same thing imo.

Sorry to hear the problem is still ongoing - but you are lucky if you can afford the outlay. It's a salutary lesson to those who think implants are a magic bullet. As I said before in this thread, my sister's implants were unsuccessful and a friend in Portugal paid €15k for implant-secured dentures which have caused her nothing but discomfort for the past 2 years. It's one of those areas (like cosmetic surgery) where there the shysters can make a killing.....

Might be a little longer than before though, in terms of chomping into an apple. But
Took me a good couple of months before I could treat my partial as my own teeth.

Nonono, my old implants never ever gave me a problem. I could eat everything without thinking about it. They were like the real thing !
It's just, because of an allergie to titanium, I had a lot of side effects.
I have no idea why someone would have a problem with it ? Unlucky maybe or not being done by a real expert (= it's the reason my normal dentist doesn't want to do it) ?

First time around I could eat everything as from the first day.
I do understand I have to be a bit more careful now because ceramic is not as strong as titanium ... we'll see.
Let's first finish the job and then have my first decent meal asap and enjoy every bite of it !
No more soups of mashed foods for me the rest of my life

Prices in Canada piss me off.

Item on Amazon US $12.41 USD (16.40 CAD) same exact item on Amazon Canada $31.99 CAD$ lowest price I found in Canada $27.99. There is no difference between the items, the one sold in Canada is the US version but with French wording on the box instead of Spanish.

It ticks me off so much we have to pay such premiums without the premium in income to account for higher costs.

Amazing jsmth 321 I have ordered a kindle paper white from both Amazon.com and Amazon .uk Both advertised as available ( from a long list) One ordered in May..I gave up waiting in July after receiving several emails telling me they were 'trying to deliver my order'? Leaving it up to me to cancel. The second order was from Amazon UK.... Ditto. Thats dated from July 31st until today.. I have refused to cancel it.. figuring that its an accounting scam which lets them off the hook. Both the same product offered at different prices .
This company has now come to dominate commerce. It allows no comment/ communication re its practices .I am left with an old Kindle that still works ,but only if I want to read stuff already downloaded. It will no longer connect with wifi or the shop. I cannot connect with anyone at Amazon that deals with problems in Europe. I am totally peed off about this....

Is the non-connection a recent issue, or do you need to update it? You can download an update to your pc and apply it to your kindle by connecting it via usb.

If it isn't an update issue, you can download any kindle content to your pc and copy it over to your kindle via usb.

I am not sure where Amazon has their customer service for Canada, but it is pretty poor. Copy and paste answers typically and sometimes they have forgotten to change a field so the message is (I am sorry to hear that <insert customer name here> blah blah) because they forgot to insert customer name and complaint into the field. Largely I found the regular customer service folk via the website to be useless. The customer support through the Jeff email though, now that has always led to quick resolution of the issue.

I don't know the details (not a techy person at all) but about 3 years ago the software on my sister's Kindle stopped working (couldn't download new books). I don't know who she contacted about it, it was an email address that came with the paperwork when she bought it, but they emailed back and said her Kindle was too old for the new software and they were sending her a brand new one free of charge. Which they did, she was very happy!

I've had service like that and had two free replacement Kindles over the years. I've always done the web chat thing. Obviously no customer service can be good 100% so I figure I've been lucky. Never dealt with Amazon UK or Au though.

People in suits walking around the airport talking loudly on their hands free, as if it makes them look important. Smug twats.
