I had my appointment today. And I saw the pictures from the pill camera, not pretty! Apparently the camera found more ulcers , most were duodenal but some were gastric. There was no infection ( H Pylori ruled out) Tomorrow I have to have more blood taken to rule out a gastroma tumor. It's looking like Crohns Disease. All I care us it stops hurting and I can feel more normal.

The RNLI is a spectacular organization, full of very brave people. I've bunged them bit of extra cash in the face of this stupid criticism because they save people not in the UK. FFS.

They showed class in their response to criticism. And if you don't like what they do, don't donate. Simple.

Updating on my current 'issues', because laying in a hospital bed all day is boring.
The first epidural injection didn't lessen the pain. The laminectomy surgery has not lessened the pain. Having another epidural this Thursday, by whiMich time I'll have been in hospital over two weeks. If I don't get some relief after that, my surgeon is going to do more extensive spinal surgery next Friday.
Pain meds have been doubled, and doubled again. I'm on a cocktail of 5 different types now, and take 28 tablets a day. F'n HATE that, some are narcotics, but there's absolutely no alternative right now.
All the staff are great. I ordered in lunch for them today from Miss Maud's, they were so surprised and I had a steady stream of people saying thanks all afternoon, it was lovely
I have a private room with my own en suite bathroom, and a huge window that looks over the gum trees, so I'm pretty comfortable when I'm not in agony
She'll be right mate, this too shall pass

Shame Dorothy is on honeymoon, she could have come to visit. Mind you, she's back next week. Seriously hope the surgeon fixes you soon.

I hope it will get sorted soon !
Here's a thing you can think about on my behalf ...
As you all know, I'm not in the best of healths (nothing compared to you though). I went for checkup yesterday hoping the surgeon would give me the all clear regarding sorting out these ridiculous implants, but helas, have to wait another month. Next appointment October 15th.
Right, so that's that. Now .....
I have a little brother (11 years younger) who has 2 little kids (2 and 4 years old). He had (I thought) a serious drinking problem.
He went into a kickoff clinique beginning of the year (which I paid since they couldn't affort it). I spoke to him several times after that and he seemed fine to me.
Now he asked me if he could come here for a few weeks starting the end of this month. I'm always cautious when someone wants to come more than 1 week. I also have the house on the market and am busy sorting everything out preparing to go in a much smaller apartment on the coast.
Anyway, I told him it would be fine. Now I hear from his girlfriend and another brother he is back ''on the booze'' and that's why he wants to come to escape from her so he can do what he wants. I understand he does everything to hide it but she knows he picks up the kids with the car whilst he's been drinking.
I do not want to say he can't come but can anyone give me some advise how to handle this one ? I've never been in a situation like this before and I don't have a clue what to do with him. I can't take him anywhere because of my problems (I hardly go out, just for shopping and doctors). I have booze all over the place here, loads of little remainers in ''heavy'' drink bottles (rum, gin, etc....)
Should I hide all this ? Should I throw it all away ? I don't drink that stuff so maybe I can throw it away.
Can I have my normal glass of wine in the evening with him opposite me not getting any ?
What does one do with an alcoholic in the house ?
Pfftt, glad that's of my chest !!!
Does anyone has any experience with this sort of problem ?
PS sorry about spelling faults, don't fancy dubbelchecking it all .......
