You could always pin it on me, so what props might you need? I can do photos, a smelly sock (just the one, mind), my dog-eared recipe folder open at page "best fondues ever" backed with photocopies of subsequent arrest details.

Give it to 'em straight.
Here, like this :
Woman 'shocked' after friend charges her 'ÂŁ800 plus food' to stay at her house
5 days! No wimping out, now.
What a kicker, eh?
Here, like this :
A woman has taken to the internet for advice after a friend charged her hundreds of pounds to spend five nights in her home.
Posting on Mumsnet, the user explained that she had arranged back in January to visit an old friend and her husband, who live in Southern Italy, along with her own husband and two children.
However, just five days before they were due to leave, the friend then informed her she would like to be paid £800 – plus the cost of food – to host them.
“I’m shocked and deeply upset,” said the woman

I remember when I was expecting my daughter we lived in a small 2 bedroom house outside Vancouver. My in laws decided they wanted to come to stay with us for a few weeks for the birth. I very kindly sent them a ton of info on hotels and B&Bs and places they could eat, all within a half hour drive to us. They never did come.
Maybe just email and say that you're looking forward to seeing them and where will they be staying?

Just found out that now two sets of relatives have invited themselves over (again) later this year, expecting us to entertain them, feed them, etc, etc for 2/3 days at a time.
I wouldn't mind so much if we had seen them regularly over the years when we were in easy driving distance in the UK...
