Really?

median full-time gross weekly earnings down 8.8 per cent between 2008 and 2014 after adjusting for consumer price inflation.
the fall in real wages for those aged 18 to 25 has been so extreme, they are now back to levels last seen in 1988. Older workers appear unconcerned by seeing more junior colleagues suffer.

I am resigned to the fact that those in power now feel less obliged than ever to give the people any real facts/truths /or say. We are seen as necessary fodder to keep them in office and nothing more. Frightening us into getting those votes by waving pieces of irrelevant paper at us,or creating the spectre of being swamped by 'Johnny Foreigner' Blaming the amorphous EU for everything from Square tomatoes to rampant Immigration..or the old old OLD chestnut of blaming the previous government. for our ills.(George Brown was right to sell the b****dy Gold when he did any financial minister at the time would say he had no choice..did it on the advice of Eddie pet as well)
It's the utter contempt for the intelligence of the people in the UK that has galled me for yrs.I never saw that happen in our time in NL.Everyone seemed interested and informed .Noone from the local 'Gemeente' to the Hague could get away with trying to either talk down to..or pull the wool over the eyes of the electorate.,Maybe because that country had been invaded.had to live with the consequences for s short while, that they value their freedom and their vote is precious.
The smoke had hardly lifted before David Davis dismissed the Immigration furore as a 'side issue' that won't concern the Tories on Andrew Marr 's show the following sunday. Also 'revealed ' was the small fast that the much waived 'piece of paper' left by the Labour MP was in fact a joke..a tradition in fact for 'every' Government leaving power.. They all left little witty comments..Only this one was kept for future use. Another example of the loss of trust and decency within our institutions which started way back when Reagan decided to tear up the Banking controls put in place after the 1930's crash, swiftly followed by Maggie and Eddie.. OK I am having a rant! But really..where were the real issues being discussed for gods sake?. The Banks?...never mentioned...QE.? not an issue..The Debt? umm what?..The truth about the EU membership?..are you kidding?...Economic recovery! where?...The only bright moment for me in regard..not to the bleating Politicians ,but the too passive populace was the wonderful young woman in the Leeds audience facing Ed Milliband. She grabbed him verbally by the 'Eds' and shook him like a rotweiler.. asking why he thought she should vote for someone who was trying to destroy her business with his indifference. She was that odd thing a socialist with a business...a lot of them around these days .Totally ignored. because none of these numpties have a clue about what makes modern Britain tick. She's the future and thats what lost Labour it's ticket. They ignored the fact that those Old voters had young kids with ambitions.Maybe thats why he fell off the stage and sealed his fate...I agree that DC has his work cut out now.The old order has a already changed..will he see it in time to avert disaster?

If you cannot accepthe progress the UK has made , a faster growth rate than many that you can only believe that Labour had the right solution.

I do believe we've found our new UKIP leader

I agree with most of what you have said above. Good point about how uninformed UK voters are compared with those in places like the Netherlands.

If you actually ahd any first hand experience of business to day in the UK rather than wwhat you gelt off youcrap you may have a different view.
Almost daily I deal with companies who have weathered the recession creating or saving jobs.
In some cases they survived because the employees rather than see the company close took pay cuts during the bad times.
Others are management buyouts from receivers when the original company failed, in some cases the new owners mortgaged theri houses have taken small salaries just to keep going.
In the last 2 years they are finally seeing the fruit of their labors.
Employee numbers have increased as sales and profits rose.
Working hours and wages have been restored.
They deserve far more respect than is shown particularly for those who buggered off and whose hobby is running down the UK.

Maybe they should get a Job !!

Sorry Paulry But no you haven't! I included UKIP in my 'Rage Fest' I am looking far wider than the present Political system for an answer

I too have seen all of the above EMR..Taken part in a management buyout in fact, all 12 of us putting our spare cash n savings into it.My OH was CEO through the first 12 yrs of struggle.Kept 40 people in a job.We helped ourselves because we sure didn't get help from either Government or Banks. When the company had stopped tottering on the brink of collapse a couple of friends, wealthy entrepreneurs in Monaco..put their money in and so on. We had made it..Way waaaay down the line the Banks then stepped in...and guess what. As they had now more clout i.e. invested money they started to dictate how things should be run.No it wouldn't be sold for the amount agreed in the first months of struggle,or under the controls agreed (people would keep their jobs etc) or at the price agreed. ( all necessary to provide funding and a future). They got their 'smart ass 22yrs old assessors to 'guess'? at the market value and pumped it up like the south sea bubble..Oh the greedy ones came out of the woodwork then ..Pumped millions into what we knew was worth a tenth of that value..Luckily we got out intact due to those same greedy B****rs needing more shares.at the time OH retired. He was appalled at where his hard work and that of his colleagues had landed them And where are we today? The company is now virtually unsellable.Investors have lost millions because of the incompetence(greed) of those 22yrs old ?*****ers..you could say that we and three others got enough to cover our 'costs' Gee what an incentive that has been . This is not how to run business's or countries

Oh, right, and if everyone were enlightened then Ukrap would rule the country and Ayatollah Farage would be the much-awaited messiah?

I think this election proved that idiots like him only deserve to get booted off the political stage - not invited onto it.

1 single seat for all the blind followers in the country who were silly enough to vote for the most submoronic party out there? Lol... and here he is pretending that he didn't just get a major kick up the butt from the voting public...

"Mr Farage said he had been "reluctant", but decided he "owed it to the party to stay" on as leader."

This actually made me laugh.

I have no idea why anyone thought he was going away, but I did think that at least he would get some summer hols in first. Probably will anyway.

I have seen all you describe, the " so called company doctors " whose motive it turns out to be to run the company down and then cherry pick the good bits.
The investment companies like 3I who insisted on their share of any profit before anyone else.
But in strange way things are better now in that there is so little support from Banks etc that those who take the risk are not having the fingers of far too many others in the company pie.
The moral is beware of Greeks or Monaquese bearing gifts.
