That works both ways. Free money. Bennies. Lower orders. Carbon units and so on. All designed to offend and get a rise.

Not everyone agrees with the Arch B of C, either.

Don't see it reported on the BBC but I didn't dig deep.

I agree. It's a pretty stark choice we are facing, and this is true aside from the personal undesirability of the Head Boy.

The tragedy is that many in the working classes don't fully realise what they might be voting in (such is the nationalistic Brexit black hole and anti-Corbyn propoganda). That cabinet, with a majority position, not pretty.

Boris is counting on it. That's the point of his slogan "Get Brexit Done". Simplistic, devoid of any actual policy, and a neat distraction from actual Tory policies so nobody asks him the tough questions. He waves his arms around a lot, shouts, claims to be for "the people" and "democracy" while his actual policies are/will be anything but. He's like a blond Hugo Chavez.

It's the 80s all over a again.

At least there would be some good material for equivalents of Spitting Image, A kick up the 80s, NTNOCN, Drop The Dead Donkey etc

Yes, there was an oped likening him to Berlesconi in TG today. He's certainly of that ilk.

It is indeed - 1970's style socialism and spending hundreds of billions buying companies to let Gov departments try and run them, or normal 21st Century market economy rising all boats.

Of course all boats are rising, some faster than the others - "poverty" is now a measure of inequality and not real poverty.

... I see we're fast approaching "real terms" again. What's next CB, the 'trickle-down' fantasy? Which nation is going to trade, let alone trust another that's turned its tail on it's largest trading block because it wants borders at every turn on the basis of development by economic apartheid?

So how poor do people have to be for you to rate them as poor? What level of misery and deprivation is enough to satisfy you?

In your accepted definition of "poverty", when richer people get poorer we get less "poverty" - it's idiocy.
