The media seems to be reporting transcripts and unedited interviews these days. It's very clear just how incoherent and unfocused he is when he talks. If that is representative of how his mind works away from the camera and dealing with important matters of state, it is frankly scary. I wonder how far the Cabinet and/or the GOP will go to cover for him, and for how long?

If he does have an actual condition, they will reach a point where they consider him unfit to fulfill the role of President and they will invoke the 25th Amendment. Then Mike Pence becomes President, appoints his own VP and we go from there.

I recall someone saying that a standard political speech is at a 9th grade level. Trump's are at a 3rd grade level.

The descriptive words he uses are always stuck at level 10, there's no gradual scale from okay to good to great to fantastic. If he needs to go one scale higher, to 11, he just sticks in a load of "very, very" or "really, really" even if he is already using an absolute.

You only need to be able to write an "X" to be able to vote. There are a lot more of the population at 3rd grade level, so encouraging them to vote can sway the results a lot.

You don't even have to be able to write an 'X', just color in a circle with a pen

Finally some good economic policy - slapping a tarrif on wood from those uppity Canadians up north.

That'll teach those Canucks with their mapley syrup, Frenchy language, and a rather handsome PM. Don't mess with The Donald's daughter.

Trump promised a trade war when Canadian farmers cheated by being able to produce products for less than those imported from the US.

It just never ends, does it? I mean, there's such a mountain of things that just s couple of decades ago, were politically unfathomably intolerable and would have led to extremely serious consequences..

But not now. I wonder if it's the sheer volume that makes it all so "normal"?

A diabolically brilliant tactic? I don't know. It all appears more like baseline stupidity rather than brilliance.

It seems like Trump's approach did succeed at getting him the Presidency, but for governing well hard too imagine how his style is achieving much judging form the first months. I do think the media is playing into his hands somewhat but devoting so much time to so many inane things.

What amazes me is the state of the country- I can imagine even 10 years ago Trump winning the primary letting alone get elected.
