Trump's maskless balcony stunt is actually a perfectly metaphor for his administration's inability to take and deal with covid seriously. I watched Anthony Fauci's interview last night with Chris Cuomo. Poor guy. He's muzzled politically, but he must be tearing his hair out at how reasonable public health messaging is getting drowned out by Trump's megaphone. But the numbers don't lie, as he pointed out. We're currently seeing c 45k new cases per day and c 750 deaths, with no sign that those numbers are going to come down any time soon.
