But in all fairness, you are choosing to live in one of THE most expensive metropolitan areas of the continent! (Vancouver, BC as I recall). Here in the Phoenix metro you can get a fixer-upper for $100k. The median home price in the district of Maryvale is $150k. This recent article talks about new homes for $145k. https://www.azcentral.com/story/mone...es/3291594002/
Now, you may not want to live here, and you may not be able to find a job here, but it's certainly more affordable than Vancouver!
Edit To Add - I saw the later posts by you, SOS and Bristol after posting this. I'm not proposing you should 'just move' ... I do understand the difficulties. I just don't want those members of BE who aren't familiar with the housing market here to think that everywhere in North America has fixer-uppers for $1M !

I have always liked Klobuchar, since her first run at Senator. I didn't pay much attention to her campaign when it was in the 2% range, but now that she's showing signs of life I feel a lot better about things.
I don't really care much for Biden. This is his third bite at the apple and he's never gotten very far. He was fine as a Senator and a Vice President but I don't really want him in the big chair. I question his motivations for running right now.
My "circle" is not of the older variety and I don't really know anyone overtly backing Sanders. But that doesn't mean anything. I think he appears bigger than he actually is. Remember he was "second" in 2016 not because he got there through hard-fought stacked primary, but because Hillary and her name brand recognition cleared the field beforehand, so he automatically became the default anti-Hillary candidate. Sanders is an extremist, an adherent of a demonstrably failed ideology, who attracts some of the worst and nastiest elements on the left. Social media is also a bullhorn for left-wing radicals, and the past few years it poofed them up and made them look both stronger and more numerous than they actually are - which created a lot of "surprise election results nobody saw coming."
Klobuchar is much more moderate and electable. At a brokered convention she is probably someone who could also go down more easily than the others.

She is the best of the lot of them and even speaks and looks Presidential but the Dems have occasionally had a death wish at election times. They'll send Bernie or Liz to take on Trump. Biden looks old and confused. If he were on a golf course he would probably start hitting balls back to the starters office instead of towards the 9th hole. Buttigieg AKA "the boy" wont get anywhere with the black or Hispanic vote. I doubt Bloomberg and Steyer also. Just a couple of old white billionaires trying to buy the vote which never has happened before in California and it's this State which will count the most.

The pro-rape Republican party has expanded its platform to buggery of boys and men. There is no sexual assault too disgusting for the Republican party to get behind (ooohh).
Is this guy going to run the investigation of Hunter Biden? I mean that's not weird at all, right? Trump says he's okay, right? I think it will be fine as long as the men use the buddy system when using the Capitol toilets.

Oh, apparently there’s no truth to these insinuations. A spokesperson for Mr Jordan said, “Congressman Jordan never saw or heard of any abuse, and if he had he would have dealt with it.”

Well of course! Because men are just jumping at the opportunity to go public about having been buggered by their coach. The dirty little sluts, they're all liars. Or they were asking for it. And they probably liked it. Liars.

Here's Klobuchar on Bill Maher.
I used to be a big fan of Maher, but for some reason I grew tired of watching him, so it was nice last night when I caught his show by accident. I'll try to start watching him again every week.
She sounded pretty good. At the end of this clip, Maher goes off on what seems to be his current 'rant' - that Trump won't leave office if he loses - and he continued that rant well into the main segment of the show. Clearly he's worried!
I've tended to find Maher's positions to be on the mark, and he was saying that the US is not ready for a 'socialist' like Bernie. He also took a brave position defending Bloomberg on the 'stop and frisk' issue. Whatever you think of Maher, he's his own man ...

Have you never voted in a Presidential election before?
You don't have to just vote for the Republican or the Democrat. My last ballot in 2016 had candidates from 13 or 14 parties on it, including from the Party for Socialism and Liberation, the Socialist Workers, the Workers World Party, and the Greens. I can't remember if there was a candidate for a Marijuana party but usually there is one of those too. There were also numerous independents who won ballot access. So if you don't want to vote for Biden or Bloomberg or whomever, you have plenty of other options. Your electorate should send you a voting guide well before election day that lists the candidates who will be on your ballot, and you can research all of them thoroughly and make an informed decision about who suits your preferences.
If your complaint is that none of those other options, actually has a viable chance at winning - I would suggest the problem is your ideology and not the political system.
