Sigh, here we go again. You're the one who made the assertion. Ergo, you are the one that needs to back it up. You haven't.

If they diagnosed me as a hospital case they would arrange for me to be transported to the hospital. But.........it's not always a smell of roses..... I would have to pay 200 dollars for the ambulance ride to that hospital. The hospital stay and any surgery or specialized treatment needed would be no charge to me. My insurance would cover it
You mean your government-funded insurance would cover it - coverage you seem unwilling to allow others to have access to.

Btw, I wouldn't be so sure that ambulance ride will cost you $200. Ambulance companies carefully got themselves excluded from balance-billing protections in California.

I've no idea what short term fixes would involve. The law says he cannot be refused treatment. The hospital in particular is funded by private donations and payments for treatment from Medicare and private insurance companies. In his case the hospital had no recourse but to write off the cost.

Yeah, I meant farrago. I tend to rely too much on autocorrect, and for some reason it likes to capitalize initial letters of random words.

Your anecdotes are doing a very good job of arguing against your own position. Do carry on.
It's all in one network health partners group, the hospital, the urgent care clinic the physicians and specialists, the nursing staff. Because my insurance co is recognized by that group I have no concerns

Sure. I'm all right, Jack - screw the rest of you. What a charming attitude to take towards those less fortunate. Christ, but you're a piece of work.

Did you not bother with the link about the wait time hitting two weeks for the first time ever? Are you a complete moron or just part time?

Do you receive a publication of benefits from your insurance company every year? What is covered What is not covered Mine says for this year there is a charge of 200 dollars for ambulance use. It was the same last year when my wife was taken to emergency for a bad fall. The hospital was less than a mile away. The Los Angeles County Fire and Paramedic Service answered the call. The charge was 200 dollars. Perhaps members of other health plans are covered for ambulance services but in my case not.

We get hikers who manage to get lost, trapped or injured up in the mountains near us. The LA County Emergency Services or LA County Sheriffs Department have choppers available to get them out. A fifteen minutes or less chopper ride from the pick up site to the hospital will cost the user between 1.500-1,800 dollars.
