Oh ! I would never have made such a connection at all using that phrase.

What would you choose instead?

I simply cannot think that the braying that we see at Trump rallies for instance represents all republicans. Surely some somewhere must be aghast.

It is those that I would like to see stand up and openly be counted and say no, this admin. is not what we stand for.

For the sake of the world really, I hope they do.
They're not willing to "stand up and be counted" because they're scared of being "primaried" by a Trump-supported opponent.

Sen Murkowski had a very emotional meeting in her office with a number of her female constituents opposed to Kavenaugh. She has some good cover because the Gov of Alaska opposes Kavenaugh as well as a vocal opposition among Alaskans. Plus she is not up for reelection. I predict a no vote. Flake, not sure on him, but maybe. I think Sen Collins will get more backlash voting yes rather than no. And then there is Manchin. A very open question. If collins, Murkowski and Flake vote no, it does not matter what Manchin does. If only 2 of them vote no and Manchin yes...Pence casts the tiebreaker. Ooof. Pins and needles.

From the Guardian
Republican swing votes satisfied with FBI report. Jeff Flake and Susan Collins say investigation appears ‘thorough’

I sent my ballot back today, all 14 pages mostly state and local, but I can safely say there is 0% chance of California sending a republican to DC for the senate.

I read the article, not quite that bleak, Hillary did lose after all. The backlash let Trump in, pick your poison.

I wonder if the GOP & Trump will take any notice , as both off them are strongly supported by The Evangelical Movement !

Nah fam, the time for 'reaching across the aisle' is over. I would have agreed with this in the days of the Dubya, or the McCain campaign before he nominated that wingnut for VP, or even the Mittens 'Binders Full Of Women' Romney crowd, but not anymore. Anyone still backing the Republicans now have either hitched their wagon to, or have publicly declared that they are willing to compromise with fascism. So **** 'em.

I know, right? If there's an emergency just let me die in peace without bleeding ear drums thank you very much.

It was actually a used condom that he just ripped off his enormous (not enormous, smaller than average, but not freakishly small) mushroom shaped dick.

I don't know whether to fall off my chair laughing or violently vomit at this post. I suppose I can have it all

Yes, they drained the swamp and appointed what they found at the bottom to Trump's cabinet.
