Just think how much more they could get done if they weren't wasting their time buying lunch for your shower of lazy bastards.

I'm surprised you haven't been told it's the employees who determine the job duties.

I don't see why you find it so difficult to understand, if there are a few managers earning say $150-$300K pa, it's better the admin assistant at $25Kpa goes and gets the sandwiches than several managers trapse-out to get them.

Simple economics.

Not if there's filing to be done. Better that the assistant spends their time in the office taking care of work related stuff and let the lame-ass suits go get their own lunch, since they're going to be spending most of their day either sucking the boss's asshole, or playing golf pretending to be with clients anyway.

Yes even if there's filing to be done, it's still a far better use of time and resources. Getting my sandwich IS work-related stuff.

FFS. No wonder the UK's in terminal decline. Axe the several managers down to one, and put him on £30k a year. That way he learns what goes on in the real world.

Bollocks, you could make your own sandwich at home and save everyone the time. You're just being lazy, and entitled.

And quite possibly making it all up for all I know, but I have this picture in my head of you as the stereotypical coked-out 80s yuppie and it's entertaining me no end so keep going if you must.

It might surprise you to know everyone in the UK doesn't work in an office, or factory. Teachers, NHS workers, lawyers, police, shop workers, hotel staff, bus, taxi drivers etc. etc. All earning a wage/salary, all capable of making a sandwich for themselves at home!

No, no, that's no good. Don't you know that trimming the fat and eliminating waste only applies to the lower orders?

Or better yet, get it delivered. Uber Eats, Deliveroo and many restaurants in big cities provide food delivery services. As you're talking in $ though, I presume you're based in America when you pull these stunts.

80s come to my mind as well. He seems to still buy into the rational homo economicus. That's is an outdated picture of humans. Even science now recognises that we are not rational and that emotions are in fact very important to our decision making. And sympathy with others and deep and meaningful connections with others is much more important to mental health and happiness than lots of money
