I see another major US corporation is looking to relocate it's European HQ.

This time it's McDonald's, which has announced that its European HQ will move from Luxembourg to the UK!

Poor old Boris, now in trouble for criticising the Saudis and Iran for their human rights and foreign policies.
We can,t have anyone putting at risk the trade we will need with these regimes after Brexit.
When will May be on her way to N Korea znd Zimbabwe.

Apparently many of the international banks have contingency plans to move from London to other EU countries if the UK isn't part of the single market.

Thats supposed to be good News.
Could be plenty of office space should the banks and financial institutions move their EU trading out of the UK.
BBC news carried an interview last night with one such company that is already moving.

I would be very surprised at much business being moved to Europe from London. The accumulated talent and advantageous legal and regulatory system in UK will still remain- and much business now is done in a global environment.

Its about Free access to the EU financial markets which the UK institutions currently enjoy.
Companies trading in the EU will have to meet their regulations NOT the UKs.
Almost every capital in the EU is canvassing the UK financial industry offering inducements to move their operations away from London, Tax breaks etc.

It is just one of the many negotiations that will have to take place between the EU and UK.
Negotiations which May describes as " complex " the understatement of the century.

Certainly some of the business will move, but much will stay if not the majority. Europe certainly not as efficient for such operations, London was a big financial center before the UK joined the EU, and will be one after the Uk leaves the EU.

Yes very complicated to implement Brexit, who knows may take many years.

That doesn't really work when you're reading text, rather than pretending you didn't hear speech, but by all means continue trying to be Mr. Cool, it's entertaining to watch you make an arse of it.

Not their HQ, just their tax residence as the UK now has lower corporation tax.

TGA obviously kniows his place looking up to an old public school toff.
He reminds me of the Ronnie Corbett character in the famous sketch.
WRM and John Cleese have a lot of similarities.
