I've pointed this out on many, many occasions before, Dick, but I'll keep hammering away at it because it seems to escape you and anybody else who has a "thing" about The Guardian.
There are several sections to the newspaper and it is apparent which contains any piece that's published in it. On this occasion the article you have linked to is in the section titled OPINION - in other words, it is the opinion of the author of the piece (and is therefore subjective) and not a piece of news reporting (which should be fair, balanced and objective). Whatever the headline attributed to an opinion piece, provided it is clearly identified as such it simply cannot be considered to fall into the category of sensationalist or distorted news reporting. |

There is a difference between understanding and accepting
And we accept fully that Parliamentary democracy means Parliament deciding when Article 50 should be triggered. It's the government who doesn't accept it. |

re: Post EU Referendum
Parliament voted by six to one in favour of a referendum deciding the issue. The people gave the go ahead to complete the process of leaving the Eu. Triggering article fifty is simply part of that agreed process. |

Well done TGA all you keep doing is to reinforce the argument that as a full fee paying member of the EU with tarrif free access to the EU markets etc etc it is the best thing for the UK economy and its inhabitants.
Keep up the good work. I wonder if we will hear from you when the reality of a hard brexit finally impacts when we leave the EU . |
re: Post EU Referendum
Jaguar has promised nothing of the sort. All that has happened is that it is carrying out a viability study. Qualified commentators such as those who were on UK TV yesterday believe that all Jaguar is doing is to see if it can get the same level of support that has been promised to Nissan in the event of a hard brexit. The fact you quote the Sun says it all as you are of reading and understanding beyond the headlines. |
